“This Is No’ My Plaid” is one of ten Scottish folksongs set by Grainger for voice and piano in 1900 (when he was 18), and grouped under the title Songs of the North. The selections, though simple in their harmonies and textures, are unmistakable Grainger.

This Is No’ My Plaid  is a Grade 2, well-suited for the mature middle school or junior high band.
