Aux Arcs (pronounced “Ozarks”) Music is a music publishing venture specializing in distinctive and exciting arrangements and compositions for the modern concert band.
Our initial offerings in 2005 featured the music of Percy Aldridge Grainger (1882-1961) and Edvard Grieg (1843-1907), one of Grainger's major musical influences. The influences of Percy Grainger in Orchestration, Philosophy of Music Education and Ethnology/World Music remain as our major philosophical cornerstones.
Our catalog has grown to encompass the legendary band transcriptions of Lawrence Odom. Future projects include the music of Peter Tchaikovsky and Bela Bartok.
Our arrangements have been selected for performances at prestigious venues including several CBDNA divisional meetings, MENC divisional meetings, numerous state Music Educators Conventions, the TMEA and the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic. Three of our releases were selected in 2011 as additions to the prestigious Texas UIL Prescribed Music List.
We think conductors, musicians and audiences will enjoy the catalog of music from Aux Arcs Music.
